World Women’s Day is being celebrated all over the world

Today, the World Women’s Day is being celebrated all over the world including Pakistan. The day is intended to pay tribute to the social, political and economic struggle of women.

To highlight the importance of women in society, Women Day is celebrated all over the world. Women have also proved that without their participation no society can develop.

On this day, thousands of organizations from different countries around the world highlight efforts for women’s social, political and economic development. Walks and ceremonies will be organized.

In Pakistan too, ceremonies will be held in this regard. Civil society organizations will also organize walks, seminars, and debates to highlight the problems and challenges for the women.

International Women’s Day is a symbol of women’s “struggle” in various countries of the world, including Russia, Vietnam, China, and Bulgaria, which is a common holiday.

In 1908, 15,000 working women protested in New York City against low pay, no voting rights and long hours of work. In 1909, for the first time, the National Women’s Day was celebrated by the United States Socialist Party on 28 February.

As a result of women’s continued struggle and everlasting sacrifices, the first World Conference of Women was held in Copenhagen in 1910, attended by nearly a hundred women from more than 17 countries. The United Nations decided to mark March 8, 1656, as International Women’s Day.
