Prime Minister Imran Khan visited the Quarantine Center for visitors coming from Tiaftan in Dera Ghazi (DG) Khan and inquired about their health.
According to the Prime Minister’s House, the visitors expressed happiness and satisfaction over the arrival of the Prime Minister, and Special Assistant to PM for Health Affairs Dr. Zafar Mirza and CM Punjab Usman Buzdar was also accompanying the PM.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister was briefed at the Central Command Room, located in DG Khan. PM was also informed about the accommodation, food and drink arrangements of the visitors.
A meeting chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan was held in which the precautionary measures were considered to deal with the Coronavirus.
According to sources, the Prime Minister expressed his disappointment over the lack of facilities in the temporary quarantine centers and directed that no compromise should be done on the quality of facilities in the quarantine centers.
Sources say that the Prime Minister has directed that all entrants from all border areas should be screened and all institutions and officers should devote their services to the people.
It is to be remembered that after confirmation of Coronavirus cases in Iran, the government of Pakistan decided to keep the pilgrims coming from Iran in the quarantine center on the Taftan border.
