A decision on medical exams has been finalized. It was decided to hold the deferred supplementary examinations of medical and dental colleges in June and to end the academic session on time and said that students would not be promoted to the next classes without examination.
According to details, a meeting of vice-chancellors of medical universities of Punjab was held in which a uniform policy was announced regarding medical exams and online classes. Prof Javed Akram said that medical students would not be promoted in the next classes without examination. Promoting without exams will harm medical education.
The meeting also decided to hold the deferred supplementary examinations of medical and dental colleges in June and to end the academic session of medical universities on time while also taking special supplementary examinations for students stranded abroad.
The supplementary examinations decided in the meeting will be conducted keeping in view the social distance and the head of the concerned institution will give the certificate to the candidate stuck in foreign countries.
It was decided in the meeting of Vice-Chancellors that no candidate would be given concessional marks without examination.
