Pakistani dramas are dynamic yet complex when it comes to story-line, there has always been an indecisive and uncertain path from jumping to Indian style soap operas (although failing completely in it ) to the real life story telling like Meri Zaat Zara e Benishan, Humsafar, Zindagi gulzar hay, dastaan and and many more like these up till now .
The new dogma of Pakistani dramas that claims a serial to be hit is having an obedient and loyal husband.
The dramas that were rated hit were the ones that depicted the husbands as most loving creatures on earth.
Previously, the dramas that portrayed girls in the most sympathetic, tragic and dreadful situation used to be rated high but in last few years people actually related to another topic that men can also be loyal, adoring and respectful.
Here are a few dramas in recent years that were hit and were different from typical crying girls’ faces.
Sarmad Sultan, Shehroz Sabzwari, Shamim Hilaly and Sanam Baloch starer drama “Teri Raza” got so much popularity where Sarmad Khoosat as “Imtiaz” was shown as a caring and devoted husband that every girl aspires to . The character’s devotion, love and empathy was only directed towards his spouse. The character of wife Sohana ( Sanam Baloch) was reckless, on the other hand and this conflicting impression about the story stroke the audiences. Girls across the border loved his character and YouTube comments’ section was buzzing with praise for the character.
Yasir Nawaz, Neelum Munir and Imran Ashraf starer Dil mom ka dia again got popular and widely acknowledged by the audiences, The character of Afzal was so in love with his wife Ulfat , the wife used to hate him and used to malign him in front of her family but the drama was valued high on charts. People developed sympathy with the poor husband.
Saba Qamar , Aijaz Aslam, Emmad Irfani and Bilal Abbas starer Cheekh also smashed records . The character of Emmad as Shayan was praised and loved by the audiences as he stood by his wife Mannat (Saba Qamar ) throughout her difficult times and ended up dying ,fighting for her.
And the hit amongst all Mere pass him ho, in which the famous character of Danish played by our very favourite Humayun Saeed stole the show with his epic performance. The character was shown truly, madly and deeply in love with his wife that he couldn’t bear her betrayal and eventually took his life , having a cardiac arrest . The character of wife was very well acted by Ayeza Khan. Adnan Siddiqui’s acting was also appreciated by fans.
Currently the drama serial jhooti featuring Iqra Aziz is also depicting a loyal and innocent husband, the character is being played by Ahmad Ali Butt and the drama is being appreciated by fans.
Well, we would love to see dramas with both the genders having favourable characters . The same plots have been discarded by the viewers and now a different script and plot abruptly boosted the rating so high that drama makers are taking risk of making dramas based on unusual scripts .
