According to sources, besides Aslam Farooq, Presidents of Sugar Mills Association Punjab, Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were also present at the FIA ​​headquarters.

Sources said that the head of the sugar scandal inquiry commission Wajid Zia and members are recording the statements of Sugar Mills Association members Gohar Nafees, Ahmed Kamal, Bilal Rasool, Majid Hussain, and Bashirullah.

According to sources, he asked the officials of the association about taking subsidy, import of sugar, and increase in price. Officials were also asked about tax evasion, anonymous transactions, unregistered agents, and the role of middlemen.

Sources said that the meeting of the officials of the All Pakistan Sugar Mills Association with the members of the Sugar Commission continued till 2 pm.

According to sources, the commission has also summoned the CEO of Sugar Mills under investigation yesterday. The commission also approved the request of PML-N leaders Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Khurram Dastagir Khan to appear before the commission.
