Sugar crisis inquiry

Sugar crisis inquiry commission summoned PML-N leaders. The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) summoned two PML-N leaders, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Khurram Dastgir, for questioning.

The letter, written by the Sugar Inquiry Commission, directed the former prime minister and former industry and trade minister to appear before the FIA office by 3.30 pm tomorrow.

The letter directed both to submit the relevant documents to the commission and also to assist the investigation team.

It should be noted that Shahid Khaqan Abbasi had written a letter to Wajid Zia, the head of the Chinese Commission of Inquiry, two days ago, and said that he wanted to appear before the team and provide important information.

“I will present all such evidence to the FIA, after which it will be easier to take action against the sugar mafia,” he wrote.

It may be recalled that the Sugar Crisis Inquiry Commission, which was to complete its work on April 25 and submit a report to Prime Minister Imran Khan, had sought a three-week time from the federal government.
