Shibli Faraz Takes Oath As New Federal Information Minister

Senator Shibli Faraz has been sworn in as Federal Minister. Shibli Faraz has been given the post of Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting.

According to details, Senator Shibli Faraz was sworn in as Federal Minister in the Presidency, in which PTI senator was sworn in as Federal Minister. President Dr. Arif Alvi administered the oath of office to him.

It may be recalled that the federal government had de-notified Information Minister Firdous Ashiq Awan and appointed Shibli Faraz as Federal Information Minister while Asim Saleem Bajwa had been appointed as Special Assistant to the Prime Minister.

Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry congratulated Senator Shibli on his appointment as Federal Minister for Information and Asim Saleem Bajwa as Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Information and said that Shibli Faraz is an honorable and honest man while Asim Saleem Bajwa is also a hardworking man.

Later, an inside story came to light about the removal of Special Assistant for Information Firdous Ashiq Awan, according to which Firdous Ashiq Awan tried to take a 10% commission from the government’s advertising budget and hired more employees than necessary on the quota of state TV. She had nine employees, including two security guards, without permission.

It may be recalled that a few days ago, MQM National Assembly member Aminul Haq was sworn in as the Federal Minister. Aminul Haq was given the portfolio of Information Technology.
