Shahbaz Sharif calls CM Punjab and PM responsible for sugar crisis

sugar crisis

PML-N President and Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif has strongly reacted to the two-week delay in the forensic report of the sugar crisis.

Two days ago, Wajid Zia, head of the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) inquiry commission in the sugar scandal, had asked the prime minister for two more weeks to submit a forensic audit report, which he was granted.

Reacting to the delay in the final report of the sugar scandal investigation, Shahbaz Sharif said that the delay in the final report is a confirmation of the government robbery of Rs 100 billion and Imran Niazi’s confession.

Shahbaz Sharif said that in fact the delay in the report was an attempt to save the real culprits of the sugar robbery but hiding the sugar inquiry report can’t hide Imran Khan’s crime from the public.

The Leader of the Opposition said that no further inquiry and forensic was needed as the people knew who had robbed the flour and sugar and only Imran Niazi and Usman Buzdar were responsible for the decisions.

It is to be noted that the investigation report of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) revealed that the main beneficiary of the sugar crisis in the country was Jahangir Tareen and the brother of Federal Minister Khusro Bakhtiar. The son of Speaker Punjab Assembly Ch. Pervaiz Ellahi, Monis Ellahi is also among the beneficiaries of the sugar crisis.

The FIA report on the sugar crisis is now being delayed, which was due to be submitted to Prime Minister Imran Khan on April 25.
