Prominent lawmaker and PTI leader Babar Awan joins federal cabinet as Advisor to PM for Parliamentary Affairs. According to News reports, notification of appointment of Babar Awan as adviser for parliamentary affairs has been issued. The cabinet division’s notification states that Babar Awan’s office will be equal to that of the federal minister.
Today, Syed Fakhr Imam has also taken oath as Federal Minister. Fakhar Imam was sworn in as the Federal Minister for Food Security in the President House, where President Arif Alvi took the oath of office.
Remember that Prime Minister Imran Khan made major changes in the federal cabinet yesterday, Fakhr Imam was given the Ministry of Food Security and Khusro Bakhtiar the Economic Affairs Officer while Hamad Azhar has been made the Minister of Industry.
Prime Minister’s Advisor Arbab Shahzad and Secretary Food Hashim Popplezai were removed from the post, while Khusro Bakhtiar resigned from the Ministry of Food and Security. Babar Awan joins Federal Cabinet as an advisor to PM.
The Prime Minister had also approved the resignation of Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and replaced MQM’s Aminul Haq with telecommunications ministry.
