Seven militants were killed during an operation in North Waziristan, annexed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while 4 Army personnel were martyred in an exchange of fire.
Four soldiers, including a lieutenant, were martyred during an operation against militants in the Datta Khel area of North Waziristan.
According to Pak Army Department of Public Relations (ISPR), intelligence operations were conducted in Mama Ziarat, 7 km southwest of Datta Khel area of North Waziristan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The ISPR said the operation was reported on the presence of terrorists in a hideout where seven militants were killed in exchange of fire.
According to the ISPR, four personnel of the Pakistan Army were martyred and one was injured during the operation while a large reserve of arms and ammunition was also recovered from the hideouts of the terrorists during the operation.
The martyrs include 26-year-old Lieutenant Agha Muqaddas Ali Khan, 24-year-old Soldier Mohammad Qasim of Layyah, 23-year-old Soldier Tauseef of Narowal and 36-year-old Lance Havaldar Qamar Nadeem of Layyah, ISPR said.
