Saqlain Mushtaq to head International Players Development at PCB. Former Test cricketer and the legendary spinner has joined the Pakistan Cricket Board.

According to news details, Pakistani spinner Saqlain Mushtaq, who has added a ‘Doosra’ technique to bowling, has joined the PCB. PCB sources said that Saqlain will be the head of International Players Development.

Chairman PCB Ehsan Mani has approved the appointment of the spin magician. The appointment will be formally announced in the next one or two days. The PCB has introduced the post of Head of International Players Development for the first time.

Saqlain Mushtaq has worked with the England cricket team as a spin bowling consultant. He was a spin bowling consultant when the England team won the World Cup.

A right-arm off-break bowler, Saqlain played 49 Test matches and 169 One Day Internationals (ODIs) for Pakistan, between 1995 and 2004. He took 208 Test and 288 ODIs wickets. He also scored Test Match century, against New Zealand, in March 2001. Saqlain was the quickest bowler in the history of ODI to reach 100 wickets.
