Farogh Naseem said that in 1994, the Supreme Court declared the public execution as unconstitutional and said that the public hanging was a violation of the constitution and Shariah. The law ministry will not create any law against the constitution and Sharia.
It should be remembered that in the National Assembly, the resolution to impose the death sentence for the perpetrators of child abuse was passed unanimously.
Later, the Federal Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari and Minister of Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry opposed the resolution of the public hanging of rapists.
