After meeting with religious scholars, president Arif Alvi announced the Taraweeh plan in Ramadan. The government has allowed conditional prayer and Taraweeh in Ramadan. According to the details, a meeting of scholars chaired by Dr. Arif Alvi, President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, was held in the Federal Capital, Islamabad.
Scholars attended the meeting chaired by Dr. Arif Alvi via video link. After meeting with religious scholars, president Arif Alvi announced the Taraweeh plan in Ramadan. The consultation meeting agreed on a 20-point strategic plan.
On this occasion, the President said that the devout should come to the mosque by performing ablution from the house. Wash the hands with the soap for coming to the mosque and wash the hands for 20 seconds. The floor of the mosque is to be washed with chlorine water. There should be no arrangement of Sahari and Iftar in the mosques.
He said that avoiding the reading of Taraweeh prayers on the streets and sidewalks. Taraweeh prayer should only be arranged in the premises of mosques. The gathering will be avoided before and after the prayer.
Dr. Arif Alvi said that arrangements should be made in the alignment to maintain a distance of 6 feet between the worshipers. A committee should be set up at mosques and imam Bargaahs to follow the precautionary measures.
Dr. Arif Alvi further said that if the precautionary measures will be ignored or the coronavirus spread significantly, the government had the authority to review the Taraweeh plan in Ramadan.
