Young doctors and para-medical staff were protesting for security kits in Quetta. The protesters marched from the civil hospital to the chief secretary secretariat during which police attack on doctors and medical staff with sticks and arrested several doctors and medical staff.

According to SSP operations, doctors and members of the medical staff were arrested for violating Section 144 and shifted to different police stations.

Following the police charge and arrests by the police, the Young Doctors Association announced the boycott of all services at an emergency press conference.

President Young Doctors Association Dr. Yasir Khan said that the police treated the doctors and medical staff as terrorists. They were badly tortured. More than 150 doctors and paramedics were arrested.

He said that after these conditions it was impossible to work. We are killed like terrorists. We have nothing to protect us. We are not given the protective kits. Without protective kits, the lives of doctors and their families are at stake.
