PM Imran Khan visits Isolation Ward in Islamabad


Prime Minister Imran Khan laid the foundation stone of the Isolation Hospital and Infectious Disease Treatment Center in Islamabad. The hospital will be built by the FWO (Frontier Works Organization).

The Coronavirus has spread to about 200 countries around the world. More than 20,000 people have died and nearly 5 million have been infected. More than 100,000 have been recovered from the deadly disease. However, about 15,000 patients are in critical condition.

Prime Minister Imran Khan visited the 50-bed isolation ward in Islamabad on Thursday (March 26th) which is being made for coronavirus-infected patients.

So far 8 people have been killed and 1088 confirmed cases of Coronavirus have been reported in Pakistan while thousands of suspected patients are kept in Isolation and Quarantine Centers.

Prime Minister Imran Khan also visited the other parts of the Isolation Center, along with Special Assistant for Health Dr. Zafar Mirza. Chairman National Disaster Management Authority also briefed the Prime Minister about the current situation and arrangements on the occasion of the PM’s visit.
