The Federal Cabinet has decided that trade with India is not possible under the current circumstances.
A cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan was held in which the economic situation of the country was considered and several important decisions were taken.
At the Cabinet meeting, the issue of import of pesticides from India was once again delayed. PM Imran Khan rejected the summary of the import of pesticides from India.
In this regard, Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Special Assistant for Information Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the summary of Punjab government to import dengue spray from India has been rejected.
At the cabinet meeting, it was decided that trade with India is not possible under the current circumstances.
On August 7, 2019, the National Security Committee decided to suspend bilateral trade with India, which was also approved by the federal cabinet on August 9.
According to sources, the cabinet endorsed the March 4 ECC’s decision and also approved to keep a 100% quota for jobs of grade one to 15 for Islamabad’s domicile holders.
