Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program

Prime Minister Imran Khan launched Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program for those who lost their jobs due to lockdown.

The official launch ceremony of the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program for the unemployed was held in Islamabad in which the Prime Minister started distributing financial assistance of Rs. 12,000 each to the beneficiaries.

On the occasion, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Social Security Dr. Saniya Nishtar briefed the Prime Minister. Dr. Saniya Nishtar said that more than Rs. 3 billion has been deposited for the Prime Minister’s Corona Relief Fund so far.

On the directive of the Prime Minister, the government will add Rs.4 in each Rs 1. Donations to the Corona Relief Fund are being received and spent in a transparent manner.

It is to be noted that the registration of the unemployed due to lockdown is being done on the website of the Ehsaas program and after verification of the data, Rs. 12,000 is being paid to each of them.

Apart from this, Rs. 104.91 billion has so far been distributed among more than 86.19 million people across the country through Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program among the deserving families during the lockdown.
