PM Imran Khan, Iranian President Discuss COVID-19 Crisis On Phone

PM Imran Khan telephoned Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and Microsoft founder Bill Gates to discuss the global epidemic.

According to details, during the talks between the Prime Minister and the Iranian President, Hassan Rouhani congratulated PM Imran Khan on the occasion of Ramadan and discussed the situation in the border areas.

It should be noted that Iran is one of the major countries affected by the coronavirus, where the virus has been confirmed in more than 93,000 people. More than 80 people have been killed in Iran in the last 24 hours since Corona, bringing the total death toll to 5,957.

Later, Prime Minister Imran Khan had a telephone conversation with Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft, during which the situation of coronavirus around the world and its effects were discussed.

Prime Minister Imran Khan appreciated the support from the Gates Foundation and global partners. Imran Khan said that Pakistan was also fighting its effects on the poor, including joint efforts to tackle the disease.

The Prime Minister informed Bill Gates that the Government of Pakistan has announced an 8 billion aid package, which has helped curb the spread of the coronavirus.
