According to details, Prime Minister Imran Khan telephoned his Bangladeshi counterpart Sheikh Hasina Wajid and expressed regret over the loss of precious lives from Corona in Bangladesh.
The two leaders discussed measures to address various challenges, and the Prime Minister praised the steps taken by the Bangladeshi leadership to curb the Corona outbreak.
Prime Minister apprised Sheikh Hasina Wajid of the steps taken by the government to save lives and jobs and the international initiative on debt relief to developing countries. PM Imran Khan also invited Sheikh Hasina Wajid to visit Pakistan.
It may be recalled that a few months ago, Prime Minister Imran Khan and the President of Sri Lanka had a telephone conversation in which bilateral relations and the situation in the region was discussed. The Prime Minister briefed the Sri Lankan President on the government’s strategy on Corona and also discussed global measures for debt relief.
