PM Imran Khan approves audit of all sugar mills. A meeting of the Federal Cabinet was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Imran Khan in which the Prime Minister directed the Cabinet to eliminate unnecessary expenditure and adopt austerity.

PM Imran Khan directs an audit of all sugar mills. According to sources, all sugar mills since 1985 will be audited and corruption cases will be referred to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

In a meeting of the Federal Cabinet, the Prime Minister expressed his displeasure over the non-impact of inflation on petroleum products and set up a committee headed by a financial adviser. Abdul Hafeez Sheikh will consult the provinces to reduce inflation.

According to sources, the Prime Minister directed that the benefit of the reduction in the prices of petroleum products should be passed on to the people. The Prime Minister also directed to reduce the price of sugar.

According to sources, the cabinet members demanded the forensic of the wheat scandal report. Fawad Chaudhry, Faisal Vawda, and Murad Saeed demanded that those responsible for the wheat scandal be brought to light. Cabinet also agreed to continue the process of accountability.
