PM Imran Khan announces Rs 12000 for the unemployed due to corona

PM Imran Khan announced a relief package for small business owners and said that financial assistance would be provided to those who became unemployed due to Corona. Rs 12,000 per person would be given to unemployed people registered on the website.

In a media briefing in Islamabad along with Federal Minister for Industries and Production Hammad Azhar and Chairperson of Ehsaas Program Saniya Nishtar, the Prime Minister said that citizens have to register themselves on the website to prove what they used to do and since then they are unemployed.

He said that at present the lowest petrol price in the subcontinent is in Pakistan and efforts are being made to provide relief to the people by reducing the prices.

It may be recalled that Federal Minister for Industries and Production Hammad Azhar had recently said that Prime Minister Imran Khan would soon announce a package for small business owners.

He said that the cabinet has approved a relief package for small businesses. Rs 50 billion has been allocated for the package and 3.5 million people will benefit from it.

Further PM Imran Khan said that we do not know how long the corona will last and when the vaccine will come. If we have to stay with the corona for the next six months or a year, then we need to step wisely.

He said that we cannot fight it with the force of the stick. The nation has shown most of the discipline in difficult situations. As a nation, we will all be able to fight. The people have to stand with the government to fight Corona.
