A meeting of the National Coordinating Committee chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan has decided to ease the lockdown that has been in force across the country since March 9 due to the coronavirus.
The federal government has decided to open small markets, shops, and hardware stores. The shops have been decided to remain open from Fajr till 5 pm, except for food and medicine shops, all the shops will be closed two days a week.
The Prime Minister said that this virus spreads faster than any other virus. Like the rest of the world, Pakistan also locked down. Our situation is different from China and Europe. We have to take care of daily wagers and laborers. We thought about what will happen to the daily wagers.
He said that we have opened and activated the National Command and Operation Center. We have made Asad Umar in charge of the NCOC. The data is analyzed in NCOC all over Pakistan and analysis is being done.
The Prime Minister said that Corona did not rise in Pakistan like the developed countries. We should look at the situation in Europe. Hospitals are filled there. It did not spread in Pakistan as it did in Britain. Alhamdulillah, Pakistan did not come under pressure like developed countries.
He further said that the number of deaths due to coronavirus in Pakistan is increasing but gradually. There was a danger of increasing deaths due to corona in the country. We were afraid that the number of deaths due to corona in Pakistan will increase rapidly.
Announcing the end in lockdown from Saturday, the Prime Minister said that the country is in a very difficult situation. Small shopkeepers are in a difficult situation. Today, we cannot say when Corona will end. No one can say that there will be no Corona again after opening the lockdown.
