On the first day of trading week on the Pakistan Stock Exchange, the stock market is experiencing a severe decline trend.
The index fell below 41 thousand level after falling over 1000 points in the 100 index during trading. PSX loses momentum and 100 index sheds 1380 points bringing index level below 41 thousand.
So far, the 100 index has dropped significantly by 2.54%. Market capitalization decreased by Rs 150 billion due to lower share prices.
Analysts say investors are cautious about the severe downturn in China’s stock market, while investors are cautious about rising inflation in January.
The inflation rate has increased to 14.5% and there is expectation of a decrease in the upcoming year.
