Pak-Afghan border crossing at Chaman closed


The Interior Ministry has issued orders to close the Chaman border with Afghanistan in fear of the spread of the coronavirus, which will be closed for seven days from tomorrow.

According to details, Pakistan started preparations to close the Afghan border after closing Iran border. The border is being closed due to the fear of the coronavirus. Orders were issued to close the Pak-Afghan border at Chaman’s place.

The Home Ministry has issued orders for closure of Chaman Border, according to a post issued by the Ministry of Interior. The letter said that the decision to seal the Chaman border was taken to prevent the spread of the virus. The Chaman border would be closed tomorrow.

It may be recalled that a few days ago, the sudden spread of the coronavirus started in Iran, after which the government banned Pakistani visitors to travel Iran and also closed the border with Iran.

So far, the number of coronavirus deaths in Iran has risen to 54 while the number of people infected with the virus has increased to 976. Later in Afghanistan, the coronavirus patients were confirmed after which Pakistan decided to close the border with Afghanistan.

So far, 4 people have been reported with coronavirus in Pakistan. Worldwide, the number of people killed by the virus has exceeded 3,000 and the number of people infected with the virus has exceeded 85,000.
