PAF F-16 Jet Crashes Near Shakarparian In Islamabad


Pak Air Force F-16 Plane crashed near Shakarparian.

 According to media, the aircraft crashed in the jungle near the famous Chand Tara Chowk, after which the plane caught fire and smoke was seen rising from the scene. Pakistan Sports Board Employee Colony is also located behind the site where the plane is crashed.

PAF has confirmed the martyrdom of the pilot of the plane, Wing Commander Nauman Akram, in the crash.

A spokesman for Pakistan Air Force confirmed the accident and told that the F-16 aircraft was rehearsing for Parade on March 23, during which the plane crashed near Shakarparian. ”A high-level inquiry board has been set up at Air Headquarters to investigate the crash”, the spokesman said.

According to police, the site of the accident was surrounded by the security agencies. Rescue teams are also present on the scene and rescue operations are underway.

On February 7, the Pakistan Air Force Plane was crashed near Shorkot. The pilot managed to eject safely before the crash and no life-threatening damage was reported on the ground.

Earlier on January 7, the Pakistan Air Force plane crashed near Mianwali during a training flight, and as a result of the crash, both pilots in the FT Seven were killed, named Squadron Leader Harris Bin Khalid and Flying Officer Abad Ur Rehman.
