In light of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in Pakistan, in the interest of the health and safety of passengers, Airlift has decided to temporarily suspend operations until April 6th, 2020. Airlift will, therefore, not be operating in Lahore and Karachi.
In their message Airlift further says that this decision comes from Airlift’s commitment to put the safety of its customers, pilots, and teammates ahead of other considerations. Our team would like to take this opportunity to advise our passenger community to avoid crowded places, including buses.
Airlift is putting in place the following measures for its various stakeholders:
- Customers: Putting the health and safety of passengers at the forefront, Airlift will suspend services to avoid the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Pre-booked rides will be refunded automatically and ALCs will remain in your wallet when the Company resumes operations on April 6th, 2020.
- Employee Care: Keeping in mind the health and safety of employees, Airlift has implemented a “work from home” policy. Support will be available to help employees through all normal channels except the call center.
- Pilot Care: Airlift will require pilots to not engage on duty to avoid the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Pilots are a core part of Airlift’s business and their health and safety should come first.
