Ogra recommends reduction in Petroleum prices from May 1

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has recommended reducing the petroleum prices by up to Rs 44 per liter from May 1.

According to sources, a summary of the reduction in prices of petroleum products has been sent to the Ministry of Petroleum and the Ministry of Finance.

OGRA has recommended a reduction in the price of petrol by Rs 20.68 and high-speed diesel by Rs 33.94. Sources said that it has been recommended to reduce the price of light diesel oil by Rs 24.57 per liter and kerosene by Rs 44.7 per liter.

According to OGRA sources, after the approval of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the Finance Ministry will announce a reduction in prices on March 30.

It may be recalled that due to the situation caused by the Coronavirus in the country, Prime Minister Imran Khan while announcing the relief package had also announced a reduction of Rs 15 per liter in the petroleum prices last month.
