Naeem Ul Haq, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan for Political Affairs, was laid to rest in Karachi’s graveyard.
Naeem Ul Haq who considered to be a close aide of Prime Minister Imran Khan and one of the founding member of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf, passed away yesterday.
Naeem Ul Haq was diagnosed with blood cancer in January 2018, since that time he was undergoing treatment and was away from political activities.
The funeral prayer of the late leader was offered in the mosque Ayesha in Defense, where large numbers of people including Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar, Governor Sindh Imran Ismail, Federal Ministers, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and other political parties participated.
Maulana Tanveer Ul Haq Thanvi led the funeral prayer of Naeem Ul Haq, after which he was buried in the Guzri graveyard.
The Prime Minister expressed grief over the demise of a close colleague, saying that he was shocked at the death of his longtime friend Naeem Ul Haq, one of the 10 founding members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and more loyal than anyone else.
The Prime Minister said that Naeem Ul Haq stood with me in all the difficulties in the 23-year-old PTI struggle and helped the party in every way.
