NAB again summoned Shahbaz

NAB again summoned Shahbaz Sharif on 2nd June. Leader of the Opposition Shahbaz Sharif appeared before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore in the Assets Beyond Means case.

Shahbaz Sharif was present in the NAB office for about two hours. NAB officials say Shahbaz Sharif could not answer questions about money laundering.

According to NAB, Shahbaz Sharif could not satisfy the investigation team. So, NAB again summoned Shahbaz Sharif on June 2. It may be recalled that earlier NAB had summoned Shahbaz Sharif on April 17 and 22 for investigation but he did not appear before the NAB.

Sources said that the inquiry into the case of assets over income is in the final stages and answers to questions from Shahbaz Sharif are very important.

It may be recalled that Shahbaz Sharif had been arrested by the NAB earlier in the Ashiana Housing and Ramzan Sugar Mill case but the Lahore High Court had granted him bail on February 14, 2019.

Shahbaz Sharif had left for London on November 19, 2019 with his brother Nawaz Sharif for treatment but he returned home on March 22 and said that he would fight with the people against the corona epidemic in the country. The life and death of Nawaz Sharif and our entire family is with the nation.
