Federal Government has appointed Mushtaq Meher as Inspector General (IG) Sindh Police while Kaleem Imam has been posted as Inspector General (IG) National Highways and Motorway Police.
According to sources, the issue of change of IG between the federal and Sindh government has been resolved and the federal cabinet has approved the appointment of Mushtaq Meher as the new IG Sindh.
Sources said the federal cabinet approved the summary through circulation. After approval from the federal cabinet, the government issued notification to appoint Mushtaq Meher as the new IG Sindh.
The Sindh government had sent a summary of four new names of Grade 22 and 21 of them, including the appointed IG Mushtaq Meher of Grade 22 and Ghulam Qadir Thabo of Grade 21.
Sources said that the names of Kamran Fazal, Sanaullah Abbasi and Inaam Ghani of Grade 21 were also included in the summary, but the federal cabinet approved the name of Mushtaq Meher.
Kaleem Imam (former IG Sindh) is appointed as IG National Highways and Motorway Police. Inspector General (IG) Police Sindh Kaleem Imam was removed and posted as IG National Highways and Motorway Police.
The notification for the appointment of Kaleem Imam as IG National Highways and Motorway Police was also issued.
