MNA Munir Orakzai passes away days after recovering from coronavirus

MNA Munir Orakzai, a JUI-F National Assembly member from Kurram District, died of a heart attack.

According to Irfanullah, nephew of 61-year-old MNA Haji Munir Orakzai, Munir Orakzai was found dead when he was wakened up for morning prayers. He was rushed to Civil Hospital for a check-up where doctors confirmed his death.

Funeral prayers of MNA Haji Munir Khan Orakzai will be offered at 3 pm in his native village Mandori. Munir Orakzai has left behind a son, 5 daughters, and a wife.

MNA Munir Orakzai, a JUI-F National Assembly member, confirmed with the coronavirus last month but tested negative for the corona on May 8, but suddenly during the National Assembly session after recovering from the corona he was rushed to a hospital.

MNA Haji Munir Khan was elected MNA from Orakzai constituency NA-45 Orakzai on JUI-F ticket. Munir Khan Orakzai’s role in bringing peace to Kurram district is unforgettable. He was elected MNA three times and played a vital role in the development of the backward areas.
