Every Pakistani citizen must wear a mask. Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Health Dr Zafar Mirza has said that wearing a mask is mandatory for every citizen and a notification will be issued in a few days.

The Special Assistant for Health said that we are making it mandatory for every citizen to wear a mask. Until now, we had given exemption to the nation to wear masks whether they want to wear it or not, but now we are making it mandatory.

He said that wearing a mask while going to public places and crowded places will be mandatory and a notification will be issued in a few days.

He said that after long consultation with all the provincial health ministers, we have formulated a national program called ‘We Care’. Under this, one lakh front line health workers will be trained in different parts of Pakistan and it will be explained how to use PPAs effectively.

Special Assistant Dr. Zafar Mirza further said that the Prime Minister of Pakistan has contacted the company which has discovered the cure for Corona virus and we have also entered into an agreement with this company.

It has been decided that 6 companies of the world will manufacture these medicines out of which one company will be from Pakistan. Once manufactured in Pakistan, the drug will not only meet the needs of Corona patients in Pakistan but will also be exported from Pakistan to 127 other countries.
