Former finance minister Ishaq Dar’s house turned shelter home in Lahore has been opened for the poor. Two days ago, the Punjab government had established a shelter in the house of former finance minister Ishaq Dar in the Gulberg area of Lahore.
Sources say that the Punjab government decided to build a shelter in the house after the court issued a stay order on the auction of the Hajvery house in H Block Gulberg. The district administration had installed beds in 12 rooms of the Hajvery House and also fixed the shelter board outside the residence.
Ishaq Dar in response said that it was contempt of the Punjab government to dedicate my residence in Lahore since 1988 to the homeless people as the Islamabad High Court had on January 27 issued a stay order in the case.
The former finance minister said that we will go to the Islamabad High Court on contempt of court by the government. Last day, the Punjab government also deployed staff at Ishaq Dar’s house, which was converted into a shelter.
Now the shelter built in the house of the former Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has been opened for the public and the laborers living in the nearby neighborhood have been sheltered.
