Home isolation policy prepared for Punjab. To prevent the spread of the coronavirus, the Punjab Health Department has issued rules and regulations for home isolation.
The Secretary, Department of Primary and Secondary Health, Punjab has issued a notification of rules and regulations for adopting Home Isolation.
According to the notification, a special home isolation committee will be formed for home isolation, which will include officials from the health department and other relevant departments.
The Deputy Commissioner of the concerned district will nominate the members of the Home Isolation Committee while the committee will be headed by the Assistant Commissioner. In addition, sub-committees will be formed at the level of Urban and Rural Union Councils.
The notification said that the committee would allow quarantine after checking the size of the houses and the number of families. However, the patient who has mild symptoms of corona will be eligible for quarantine at home, and if the condition of the patient is bad due to corona, he will not be allowed home quarantine.
Under the rules of home isolation policy, the education of Corona patients and other families will be checked, awareness of Corona and knowledge of the basic requirements of isolation will also be tested.
Under the rules, the patient will be required to send daily health updates to the health department and will have his corona tested every ten days, and the patient will only be allowed to be tested by a government-approved private laboratory.
According to the announcement, the health department staff will also take samples from home for the corona test. If the patient’s test is positive for the second time, he will have to undergo the test again in the next five days.
