Pakistan has opened the Pak Afghan Chaman border for 3 days at the request of the Afghan government. The purpose of opening of the border is to return of Afghan citizens stranded in Pakistan.

According to the details, on the orders of the Foreign Office, the Pak Afghan Border Chaman border has been opened from today till April 9, and thousands of Afghan citizens are returning through the friendship gate.

These Afghan citizens were stranded in Pakistan from March 2. The government of Afghanistan requested Pakistan to open a border for the return of Afghans, on which the border was opened today from April 6 to April 9.

The Pak Afghan border has been opened after 36 days on the orders of the Foreign Office. Chaman and Torkham Border were opened for the return of Afghans under goodwill gesture. Remember that the Pak Afghan Chaman border was closed on March 2 given the threat of coronavirus.

It is to be noted that the number of Coronavirus cases in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has reached 405. So far 16 people have died of the virus while 62 patients have recovered. On the other hand, the number of cases in Afghanistan has reached 367 while the death toll is 7.
