Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Noor-ul-Haq Qadri denied including Qadianis in the minorities commission. Noor-ul-Haq Qadri has said in a statement that the news about the inclusion of Qadianis in the national commission is baseless.
He said that the government of Pakistan strongly denies the media reports that it has been decided to include Qadianis in the National Minorities Commission.
The Federal Minister for Religious Affairs said that Qadianis are non-Muslims according to the Constitution and the position of the Government of Pakistan is clear that any group can be included in the constitutional and constitutional institutions only if they recognize the Constitution.
Noor-ul-Haq Qadri further said that constitution of Pakistan is superior. The entire nation and government are subject to the same constitution. No unconstitutional action should be expected from the government.
It may be recalled that yesterday, PM Imran Khan directed the ministry of religious affairs to renew the national commission and include Qadianis as minorities in the commission. They were given the non-muslim status on 7th September 1974.
