The National Coordination Committee meeting chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan decided to open work on CPEC projects and said that the construction industry will be opened tomorrow.
According to details, a meeting of the National Coordination Committee chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan was held. The chief ministers of the provinces and military officials attended, while the federal ministers and the chairman NDMA was also present.
According to sources, the Prime Minister has completed consultation with the relief team regarding the relief package for the construction industry. It has been decided to issue advisory to the provinces related to the transportation of workers and for the industry and Friday prayers.
Prime Minister Imran Khan said that we’re opening the entire construction industry. The construction industry is for the poor and laborers. The employment of the laborers is related to the industry. Labor is the top priority of the government.
The meeting of the National Coordination Committee also reviewed the uninterrupted delivery of wheat from Sindh to Balochistan and Punjab and informed about the flow of industrial units and implementation of CPEC projects.
Coordinating measures were taken to improve coordination among federal and state agencies and to collect meaningful data. It was decided to set up a multi-disciplinary research committee before the next meeting.
The Prime Minister said that the availability of accurate, fact-based data in the current situation is important, that there will be no negligence in the provision of accurate data.
Imran Khan said that the situation in Pakistan is different from the rest of the world. We are also fighting against poverty and unemployment alongside coronavirus. Every decision will be made keeping given the ground reality.
