The Anti-Terrorism Court has extended the physical remand of terrorists of MQM London and activists of Indian intelligence agency RAW for five days.
According to a News report, the alleged terrorists of MQM London and Indian intelligence agency RAW were produced before the court after physical remand of Shahid Shooter, Majid, and Adil Ansari.
The investigating officer informed the court that the suspects during the interrogation confessed about terrorist schemes in Karachi, and the suspects also said they belonged to a dangerous group in MQM London, which conducts terrorist acts.
The investigating officer again requested the JIT from the court and said it was necessary to arrest the other accomplices of the suspects, while others working for the network are in Karachi.
The investigating officer requested further physical remand from the court, which the judge approved, and extended the remand of the accused by five more days.
Earlier on March 26, the police had submitted an investigative report containing the confessional statements of the accused. The accused, in a report submitted by the police to the court, confessed to the terrorist plans and actions in Karachi.
In the police report, the suspects confessed that the MQM London group works for the Indian intelligence agency RAW. The Indian agency provides a monthly payment to a man named Mahmood Siddiqui.
The investigating officer had appealed to the court that a Joint Investigation Committee (JIT) was necessary to trace the network of terrorists, as other suspected accomplices must also be arrested.
