FIA officer Sajjad Bajwa suspended for leaking information about Sugar corruption scandal. A forensic report on the sugar-flour crisis is being prepared and Sajjad Mustafa Bajwa, Additional Director of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), has been suspended. Suspension orders have been issued against Sajjad Mustafa Bajwa, an officer of the Federal Investigation Agency.

According to sources, Sajjad Bajwa is accused of giving sensitive information regarding the sugar scandal investigation to Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Khusro Bakhtiar and a private person. Sources claimed that FIA officer Sajjad Bajwa suspended for leaking information about Sugar scandal.

It may be recalled that the sugar and flour forensic report will be submitted to Prime Minister Imran Khan on April 25, after which major action is likely to be taken against those responsible.

On the other hand, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan for Accountability Shehzad Akbar has said that Sajjad Mustafa Bajwa is accused of compromising and the Interior Ministry is investigating the matter.

He said that a letter was received by the Home Ministry from the Commission for the removal of Sajjad Mustafa Bajwa stating his performance as the reason for his suspension.

Shehzad Akbar said that questions have also been raised on the credibility of Sajjad Mustafa Bajwa. The Interior Ministry has constituted a fact-finding committee on this matter. All the allegations against Sajjad Mustafa Bajwa will be investigated.

The Special Assistant to the Prime Minister said that Sajjad Mustafa Bajwa had no contact with Khusro Bakhtiar or any other personality. I deny any contact of Sajjad Bajwa with Khusro Bakhtiar.
