Federal Cabinet proposes ease in Lockdown across the country. A meeting of the federal cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan proposed easing the ongoing lockdown to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

A meeting of the Federal Cabinet was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Imran Khan in which the economic, political, and Corona situation of the country was considered and several important decisions were taken.

According to sources, final consultation has been completed in the meeting of the federal cabinet on easing or complete abolition of lockdown and members have suggested easing lockdown.

Sources said that a majority of the cabinet members agreed with the Prime Minister’s stance on the lockdown while the Prime Minister said that he wanted the lockdown to end soon but precautionary measures would have to be strictly implemented.

According to sources, the federal cabinet meeting also hinted at launching train services across the country. However, the final decision on ease in lockdown, transport, and railways will be taken at a meeting of the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) tomorrow.

In a media briefing after the cabinet meeting, Information Minister Shibli Faraz said that at the cabinet meeting, the ministers decided to donate one month’s salary to the Corona Relief Fund.
