White House unfollow Modi

The breaking news is that the White House unfollow Modi on Twitter.
The White House, the official residence of the US President, has “followed” Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on social networking site Twitter.

According to Indian media reports, the White House had followed only Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Indian President, apart from key US officials.

Until a week ago, the White House had 19 followers, but now that number has dropped to 13, with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Ram Nath Kovind being “unfollowed”. The White House has also followed the accounts of the Indian Prime Minister’s Office and the Indian Embassy in the United States.

According to media reports, the Indian accounts were followed by the White House on Twitter three weeks ago while the US and India were discussing the drug malaria chloroquine.

In this regard, Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Indian opposition party Congress, expressed frustration over the White House unfollow Modi issue and demanded that the Foreign Ministry take notice.

India had banned the export of 14 drugs, including chloroquine and paracetamol, used to treat coronavirus patients. The US President had threatened India that it would be ready to retaliate if it did not provide malaria medicine.

Later, the US President’s threat worked and India immediately lifted the ban on the export of these drugs.
