The committee will submit a report considering the rules and regulations of the district commission.

The issue of removal of the IG was also included in the agenda of the meeting, but Karamat Ali, an independent member of the Public Safety Commission, withdrew from the agenda by writing a request.

In the meeting, IG Kalim Imam submitted a report on the action against 23 high police officers and said that disciplinary action was taken against Ghulam Sarwar Jamali of Grade 21 while an inquiry report against Rao Anwar was sent to the Chief Secretary in 2018. Also, inquiry reports have been sent against SSP level Javed Baloch, Ijaz Hashmi, Tahir Norani, Azfar Mehsar and other officers.

CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah said that the police should work freely. We have no interference. Karachi was ranked sixth and seventh in the crime index in 2013 and has now reached the Ninty third spot. Public support and government’s commitment has a role in the better law and order.
