Babar Azam creates World record After three back to back Test Hundreds

Middle-order batsman Babar Azam becomes the 7th Pakistani batsman to score hundreds in three consecutive Test matches. Babar Azam completed his 5th Test century on the second day of the first Test against Bangladesh.

In the last three Tests matches, It was his third consecutive century with which he earned the honor that Javed Miandad did not even have. Babar is the 7th batsman of Pakistan who has scored hundreds in three consecutive Tests.

 Former captain Mohammad Yousuf has the honor of scoring three centuries in consecutive Test matches for Pakistan in Test cricket as well as the Asian Bradman Zaheer Abbas is also among the national batsmen who have scored centuries in three consecutive Tests.

Zaheer Abbas, Mudassar Nazar, Shoaib Mohammad, Mohammad Yousuf, Younus Khan and Mohammad Hafeez are the players having consecutive hundreds in three test matches. In the second day of the Test match at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Shan Masood and Abid Ali started the innings. Abid Ali was dismissed without a score on the overall score of two.

Opener Shan Masood and skipper Azhar Ali added 93 runs for the second wicket, but Azhar Ali was also dismissed for 34 runs. Shan made a brilliant 100 off 160 balls with the help of 11 fours and just a few moments before the tea break, Taij-ul-Islam picked his wicket.

Babar Azam scored his fifth test hundred and was unbeaten on 143 runs along with Asad Shafiq who is on the other end at 60 runs. Pakistan will start day 03 with a solid lead of 109 runs.
