Assets declaration reveals Dual citizenship of special assistants to PM. These SAPMs include SAPM for overseas Pakistanis Zulfi Bukhari, SAPM for digital Pakistan Tania Aidrus, SAPM for petroleum division Nadeem Babar, and SAPM for power division Shahzad Qasim.
Details of dual citizenship of special assistants to PM is given as follows, Special Assistant for Overseas Pakistani Zulfi Bukhari holds permanent British citizenship, Special Assistant for Parliamentary Assistance Nadeem Afzal Chan Canada, Special Assistant for Power Division Shehzad Qasim and Special Assistant for Petroleum Nadeem Babar hold US citizenship, while Special Assistant for Digital Pakistan Tania Aidrus is a citizen of Canada and Singapore.
Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Special Assistant for National Security Moeed Yousaf and Special Assistant Shahbaz Gil explained the details of their assets and dual citizenship.
Similarly, Special Assistants for the National Security Division, Moeed Yousef, and Shahbaz Gil are US green cardholders. Special Assistant for National Security Moeed Yousaf said that rumors are being spread against me. I do not have the citizenship of any country except Pakistan.
“I have already submitted an affidavit to the government of Pakistan regarding my citizenship. I have not gone to the United States since assuming my current responsibilities, nor have I received any income from the United States,” he said.
Moeed Yousuf says that I do not have any property worth billions or lakhs abroad. I or my family do not have any property in any country except Pakistan. The Special Assistant for National Security said that misunderstandings about my citizenship should not be spread.
On the other hand, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Shahbaz Gil also clarified on dual citizenship of special assistants to PM saying that I am only a Pakistani citizen, I do not have the citizenship or passport of any other country.
It may be recalled that yesterday, the Cabinet Division had released a list of assets of PM Imran Khan’s special advisers and assistants, stating that out of 19 special assistants and advisers to the PM, four had foreign citizenship and assets worth crores of rupees.
