Asad Umar appears before Sugar Inquiry Commission. Federal Minister for Development and Planning Asad Umar has said that the Prime Minister is not accountable to the Sugar Commission of Inquiry. Imran Khan will not disappoint the nation. The report of the commission will come in a few days.
Federal Minister Asad Umar appeared before the Sugar Inquiry Commission at the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) headquarters in Islamabad.
According to sources, Asad Umar’s statement regarding the decisions of the Economic Co-ordination Committee (ECC) during his tenure was recorded.
Later, while talking to the media, Asad Umar said that he himself had said that he wanted to appear before the Sugar Commission. The Prime Minister is not accountable to the Sugar Commission. I was the Chairman of the ECC and came here to respond.
Asad Umar said that Imran Khan will not disappoint the nation. The report of the commission will come in a few days. The final decision will be taken after the report of the Sugar Commission.
It should be noted that the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) issued the sugar and wheat crisis report yesterday. The ruling party’s main leader Jahangir Tareen, brother of Federal Minister Khusro Bakhtiar and Monis Ellahi were among the beneficiaries of the sugar crisis.
In this regard, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that he was waiting for a detailed forensic audit by a high-level commission which would be conducted by April 25, but later the commission was given another three weeks to submit its report.
Recently, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi had written a letter to the head of the Sugar Inquiry Commission, Wajid Zia, offering to give details in the inquiry in the Sugar crisis, after which he was also summoned by the commission two days ago.
