Afghanistan’s Taliban, US sign historic peace deal


A historical agreement between the Afghan Taliban and the US has been signed. The agreement was signed by the Afghan Taliban, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, and US Special Representative, Zalmay Khalilzad.

According to details, the historic peace agreement between the United States and the Taliban has been signed in Doha, the capital of Qatar, ending the 19 years bloodshed in Afghanistan.

A peace agreement has been signed between the two sides, which was signed by US Special Representative Zalmay Khalilzad while Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar signed on behalf of the Afghan Taliban.

Addressing the event, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that peace has won today but the real victory of Afghans will be peace and security in Afghanistan. Afghan Taliban and the US are ending their decades of conflict through this peace deal.

US Secretary of State said that Zalmay Khalilzad’s role for peace is commendable. Afghan and US forces worked together for peace. Afghan people are happy with the agreement. Afghans have to determine their future after peace would be welcomed.

Mike Pompeo further said that organizations such as ISIS and Al-Qaeda will not be allowed to flourish again. All Afghans have the right to live with peace and prosperity. Equal opportunities will be provided to the women.
