8 Coronavirus test labs operational in Punjab with 6000 testing capacity. Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has said that the province has no shortage of testing kits and will start 6,000 tests daily from tomorrow.

Speaking at a press conference in Lahore, Usman Buzdar said that there are 6859 patients of Corona in Punjab out of which 115 have died and 2,206 patients have gone home after recovery while 90,000 tests of the corona have been done so far.

The Punjab Chief Minister said that 8 coronavirus test labs are operational in Punjab. Level three labs are being set up for Rs. 60 crore. Smart sampling has been started from 6 districts and 6,000 tests will be conducted daily from tomorrow.

He said that Rs 34 billion has been distributed to 2.8 million families in the province and steps are being taken to revive the economy.

Usman Buzdar said that recommendations have been made to the federal government regarding the opening of businesses, including the opening of markets related to the construction industry, power looms, and export sector.

Referring to the quarantine centers, he said that an inquiry has been ordered after the complaints of the citizens in the quarantine centers. Facilities are being provided to the patients in the quarantine and 90% of the people in the quarantine have recovered and gone home.
